I don't have any words for this.

Okay, so I did hear on the radio alarm clock this morning that there was an explosion at a nuclear facility in Japan.  I've been watching the news for fifteen minutes and they finally got around to mentioning that.  I'd been thinking/hoping I'd made that up in my head while half-asleep.

Guys, I can't do a post about Japan.  I don't have words for something like this.  I've not watched the news most of the weekend; I've not gone to websites in search of information.  The devastation they're showing on the Early Show - I just can't wrap my mind around it.  How do you even start to pick up the pieces?

Acte Gratuit is a blog written by a woman who lives in Japan; her husband is a Dentist with the Air Force.  From her recent posts, it sounds like they're much better off than many in the most hard-struck areas; I can't process it.

Can we talk about something else, please?  I know hiding my head in the sand won't make it go away, but I don't want to be horrified right now.

That's what I wrote this morning.

Now it's lunchtime.  I still feel the same way.

  1. I'd like to think we all feel the same way. Will respect your wishes in not talking about it but will keep thoughts and prayers going in my heart.

Have a feeling you will too, my friend.
